The APPUIS Privacy Policy describes how APPUIS collects, uses and protects your personal data.

What type of information and personal data do we collect? Why ?

At APPUIS, we receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide to us in any other way in order to provide the best tools and services. Additionally, we collect the Internet Protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; the login; email-address ; the password ; computer and login information and purchase history. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to navigate away from the page.

We also collect personal identification information (including name, email address, password, communications); payment details (including credit card information), comments, feedback, ratings of our training or social actions, recommendations and personal profile. The purpose of collecting this personal data is develop and improve training offers and services.

How do you collect information?

When you transact on our website, as part of the process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address, telephone. Your personal information will only be used for the specific reasons mentioned above.

 

How do you store, use, share and disclose the personal information of your site visitors?

APPUIS is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products, training and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com's data storage, databases and general applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

All direct payment gateways used by APPUIS and offered by Wix.com comply with the standards set by PCI-DSS, as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our association and its service providers.

How do you communicate with your site visitors?

We may contact you to inform you about your account, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to resolve a dispute, to collect donations, to survey your opinion through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates on our company, or as necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. For these purposes, we may contact you by email, telephone, text messages and postal mail.

 

How do you use cookies and other tracking tools?

APPUIS websites allow us to better understand user behavior, particularly for security and fraud prevention purposes, tell us which parts of our websites are most visited, and facilitate and measure the effectiveness of advertisements and internet searches.

  • Communication cookies. These cookies allow us to maintain network traffic to and in particular by helping us to detect errors.

  • Strictly necessary cookies. These cookies are set as necessary to provide a specific feature or service that you have accessed or requested. They allow us, for example, to authenticate and verify your transactions, and to preserve the contents of your basket when you make online donations.

  • Other Cookies. These cookies allow us to understand how visitors interact with our websites and services, including helping us measure the effectiveness of web ads and searches. *Internet Explorer, select the Tools button, point to Security, and then select Delete browsing history. Check the Cookies and website data box, then select Delete.

*Chrome: Menu > Settings > Show advanced settings (located at the bottom of the page). You must then click on the Content settings button then check the box Block cookies and data from third-party sites, finally click on OK to confirm your choice.

 

In addition to cookies, we use other Wix technologies that allow us to achieve similar purposes. 

In general, cookies that are initially placed on your Wix website can be classified as essential cookies. As you can add multiple components, codes, external apps, etc. to our platform, your website may contain other types of cookies which may require certain settings.

We generally treat the data we collect using cookies and similar technologies as non-personal data. How do we protect your personal data?

We maintain rigorous security criteria and procedures to prevent unauthorized access to your personal data, including by our own staff. We ensure compliance with strict confidentiality standards when we have to call on external service providers. Our service provider uses a cryptographic hash and is certified GDPR compliant.

How long do we keep your personal data?

We only keep your personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. We also set a maximum period of 36 months at the end of which the personal data will be automatically, even if the purpose is not achieved.

What are your rights with regard to the personal data concerning you that we hold?

Subject to the conditions provided for by the legislation in force, you have the right: to access your personal data, to rectify them or to request their deletion; to ask us to limit the processing; to request its portability and not to be the subject of a decision based solely on automated processing.
